Born as a variation of the traditional Sicilian cubaita, sweet bars of whole almonds and sugar syrup, the Sicilian almond brittle is one of the crunchiest confectionery creations.
To make it, almonds are ground and combined with sugar syrup, then spread out to form a very thin layer. Once dry, it's cut into the traditional shape, creating small, crunchy squares to be savored bite after bite.
